FAQs

What languages do you translate to or from?

Traduid works with the following language combinations:

    • English to Spanish
    • Spanish to English
    • Italian to Spanish (non-official)
What happens if I do not receive a reply in 24 hours?

Firstly, check your spam folder and confirm that there isn’t a problem with your email provider. If you still can’t find it, then do not hesitate to phone us.

Do you accept credit cards?

Payment methods accepted are bank transfer, PayPal or cash.

Do I have to pay up front?

No, you don’t. In the case of official translations, you only have to pay when you receive the documents. Non-official translations will require payment once you have reviewed the translation and before receiving the finished version of the document.

My file to be translated is over 20 MB.

You can use any one of a number of free, cloud-based file transfer services. We recommend WeTransfer, SkyDrive, Dropbox or Mega.

What file formats do you accept?

We prefer to work with text based files such as .doc .docx .odt .txt, but spreadsheet or presentation formats are also welcome. The reason for this is that it allows us to quickly perform a word count and thus to get you a quote faster. If this isn’t possible, there is no problem whatsoever – we can work with JPGs and PDFs as long as the resolution is high enough to be able to clearly read everything on the pages including seals, signatures and stamps.

How long does it take to finish a translation?

It depends on the length and complexity of the document, as well as our current workload. Other factors include the time and what day you ask for it, i.e. before a holiday or at the weekend.  However, it usually takes a week from the moment that you confirm the quote for the project to be finished.

Every translation is unique, so oftentimes for standard documents such as birth certificates, criminal records and university diplomas, the turnaround period can be as short as 48 hours.

How much does a translation cost?

Translation prices are affected by the number of words in the document. However for standard documents such as birth certificates, criminal records, university diplomas, etc., the usual rate is between 25 and 30 €/page.

There are also other factors affecting the price such as the complexity and the time period that is required.  If a technical translation needs to be finished urgently, then the price will be higher than if a general translation can be finished in three weeks.

Send your documents through the online contact form here or by e-mail to info@traduid.com and we will be happy to send you a detailed quote.
